How accurate is the model?
The model achieves 56.5% accuracy at predicting game outcomes from draft alone, and 57.1% when runes are included. This is significant considering draft is only one factor in winning a game. The model is also well-calibrated — when it predicts a 55% win rate, games really do end up around 55%, meaning you can trust the predicted percentages.
What do the win rate percentages mean?
The main percentage is your team's predicted win rate based on the full draft. The individual champion numbers show each champion's impact on the overall team win rate — not their individual champion win rate. For example, if a champion shows +2.8%, it means that champion is increasing your team's odds of winning by 2.8%.
Does it account for counter-picks and pick order?
The model evaluates the strength of a draft composition as a whole. Since the Riot API does not provide pick order data, the model is not inherently counter-pick aware. However, LoLDraftAI offers a Typical Counterpick Adjusted mode in champion recommendations, which adjusts predicted winrates based on how much each champion's impact typically swings when counterpicked — helping you identify safe blind picks.
Does it account for player skill or one-tricks?
No. The model predicts based on average champion performance at your selected elo. If a player is exceptionally good (or bad) on a champion, that is not reflected in the prediction — use your own judgment for that.
Which elo setting should I use?
Use your own rank for the most relevant predictions. The model takes elo as an input and is trained to understand how different ranks affect champion and team dynamics.
Should I dodge if my draft looks bad?
Generally no. Draft advantages are at most around 60% to 40%, and dodge penalties are significant. You can absolutely win games with a worse draft — individual play matters more than composition in most games.
How often is the model updated?
The model is updated with every new patch. Patches typically release on Thursday, and the model usually updates by Saturday to have enough games for reliable data. You can see the last update date in the footer. That said, the model can be used on the new patch immediately — champion synergies and counters stay mostly the same between patches, so accuracy barely decreases. Patch changes mainly shift individual champion strength slightly, not the underlying team dynamics the model has learned.
What's the difference between Free, Base, and Pro?
Free gives limited champion access so you can try the tool. Base unlocks the full solo queue model with all champions and elo brackets. Pro adds a separate model trained on professional matches. The model quality is the same across tiers — Pro is just tuned for pro play dynamics.
