The Best LoL Draft Tools in 2026

October 31, 2026

Disclosure. This guide is written by the developer of LoLDraftAI, one of the tools below. Every tool was evaluated from its public pages, official docs and store listings, plus our own published benchmarks where they exist, as of October 2026. Claims link to their source, and where we couldn't confirm something, we say so. Prices vary by region; check the official page.

"Draft tool" covers very different products: models that score the whole ten-champion draft, companion apps where pick suggestions sit next to rune import and overlays, stat sites that answer "who counters Ahri?", and pick/ban lobbies for practising with your team. One leaderboard wouldn't mean much, so this guide groups them by what they do, says who each is best for, and gives every tool one honest limitation, ours included.

How we evaluated, and what we couldn't test

We have head-to-head numbers for three tools (DraftGap, LoLTheory and iTero) because we ran and published benchmarks against them. For the companion apps (Mobalytics, Blitz, Porofessor and similar) a fair accuracy test isn't possible: their pick suggestions exist only inside their Windows desktop apps during a live champion select, are often personalized to the logged-in account, and come with no draft win probability to score against real results. So we make no accuracy claims about those apps, in either direction.

Full-draft models

These tools look at both teams and turn the draft into a win estimate or a model-based score for each candidate pick.

LoLDraftAI

LoLDraftAI is a deep neural network trained on millions of ranked games (raw match records, not aggregated pair statistics) that reads all ten picks together. It gives a calibrated team win probability for any full or partial draft (56.7% accuracy from the draft alone, 57.7% with runes) and ranks champions for an open slot against both teams, not just the lane opponent. Runes, summoner spells and item builds (the item model is still in beta) are recommended for that exact draft, elo and patch. Models cover Silver to Master+, ARAM and pro play, retrained every patch. The web tool works on any OS, and the Windows desktop app tracks champion select live, with optional auto-hover, auto-lock and rune/item import. During your ban turn, the desktop app ranks the enemy's best picks with a Ban button next to each.

Limitations: no in-game overlays, no player scouting, no post-game analysis, and no modelling of your personal champion pool or mastery (favorites only filter the list). The desktop app is Windows-only. The free tier covers about 50 champions; the full pool is €3.99/month and the pro-play model €29.99/month (pricing). Best for: players who want the pick that gives this specific team the best odds, and builds tuned to the draft (how LoLDraftAI works).

LoLDraftAI analysis of a finished draft: 57.1% Blue Side vs 42.9% Red Side, a table of each champion's impact on win rate and predicted gold lead at 15 minutes, and a chart of predicted win rate by game length rising for Blue from 0-25 to 35+ minutes.

LoLDraftAI analysis of a finished Emerald draft (Darius, Jarvan IV, Twisted Fate, Jinx, Leona vs Renekton, Lee Sin, Ahri, Ezreal, Braum): 57.1% Blue, with Blue's predicted win rate rising in longer games.

LoLDraftAI recommended item build modal for Twisted Fate, labelled Beta: final six-item build, Q > W > E skill order grid, items to buy in each five-minute window up to 45 minutes, and a Create item set in client button.

The item build for Twisted Fate in that same draft: final build, skill order and purchase order by minute, exportable to the client.

DraftGap

DraftGap is a free, open-source (MIT) draft companion that describes itself as an "unopinionated tool using only statistics". It combines each champion's win rate, its matchups against every enemy and its duos with every ally into a team estimated win rate, split into champions, matchups and duos so you can see where the number comes from. It runs on the web and as a desktop app for Windows and Apple Silicon Macs that syncs with champion select (latest release v3.2.2, October 10, 2026). Limitation: it works from champion pairs, and its own FAQ says team identity (engage, poke) and damage composition aren't part of the calculation. Best for: anyone who wants a free, transparent team win % or plays on a Mac.

iTero

iTero's AI Drafting Coach scores each candidate pick for your slot with a trained model; its 2022 model article describes linear models combined with gradient-boosted trees. The app adds lobby scouting, comp-based runes, an in-game overlay, an account analyser and a macro coach, plus mastery-aware recommendations and a champion pool builder, which LoLDraftAI doesn't have. It runs on Windows through Overwolf (updated October 30, 2026); a standalone version was reported in late 2025, but we couldn't confirm it. Free with ads; Premium removes ads and adds options such as customising the AI models, with no price on the official site. Limitation: in our testing it shows per-pick scores, not a win probability for the whole draft. Best for: players who want pick advice shaped around their own pool, plus in-game coaching.

LoLTheory

LoLTheory is a champion-select and build assistant. According to its own guide, it shows live win rates and a "score" (win rate minus risk) for every champion, ban suggestions that account for your teammates' hovers, enemy role probabilities for flex picks and a shareable link. It also rates a team composition as a win rate, which is the number our benchmark below scored. Its author described the model in 2022 as a per-elo logistic regression over champion-role pairs. Champion select features are free with no limits; the in-game build overlay is free for one game a day, and Premium (price not published) removes limits and ads. Limitation: a linear pairwise model, and the desktop app runs on Overwolf. Best for: a free, unlimited champ-select assistant with flex-role inference and builds that adapt during the game.

LOL Brain

LOL Brain is a newer, free web Draft Calculator: enter five champions per side and it returns a win % for each, based on lane matchups, jungle proximity and composition archetypes (engage, poke, scaling, frontline). No sign-in; data dated October 28, 2026 when we checked. It also advertises a desktop app. Limitation: we couldn't verify its model, its accuracy or the desktop app, and we know of no benchmark of it. Best for: a quick second opinion on a finished draft.

The benchmarks, and their limits

We published three head-to-head tests in April 2026. They are our own tests on metrics we chose, and every tool has been updated since, so read the methodology before trusting the numbers.

ComparisonTestResult
DraftGap vs LoLDraftAI32,750 held-out Emerald+ ranked matches (EUW, KR)Accuracy: LoLDraftAI 55.88%, DraftGap 54.66%. Log loss: 0.6829 vs 0.6869 (lower is better)
LoLTheory vs LoLDraftAI32,930 held-out Emerald+ ranked matches (EUW, KR)Accuracy: LoLDraftAI 55.90%, LoLTheory 54.41%. The Master+ slice was effectively a tie
iTero vs LoLDraftAI100 head-to-head drafts, judged by DraftGap as a neutral toolLoLDraftAI's drafts won 55% (95% CI 45–65%): close to a tie

Draft-only accuracy lands in the mid-50s for every tool we have measured, because much of a game is decided by things other than the draft, so a 1 to 1.5 point gap is meaningful but not dramatic. In the iTero test our own model scored the drafts far more in our favour, but a model grading its own picks isn't independent, so the neutral near-tie is the number to quote. iTero's 2022 model article reports roughly 70–73% accuracy "with draft data" and calls its figures rough. It doesn't list the model's inputs or describe the test set, so that figure can't be compared with the draft-only holdout numbers above.

We have not benchmarked LoLDraftAI against LOL Brain or any tool below.

All-in-one companion apps

Here draft help is one feature among rune import, overlays, scouting and post-game stats. None of these apps shows a team win probability or documents a model that scores the full draft. That makes them a different kind of tool, not a worse one, and many players run one alongside a draft model.

Mobalytics

Mobalytics' Live Companion recommends picks and bans in champion select "based on factors like the meta and your champion pool" and adds counter-pick suggestions as enemies lock in. Pick, ban and counter recommendations, rune and item auto-import and player scouting are free; Plus ($9.99/month, $24.99 for three months or $69.99/year) removes ads and adds matchup advice, champion combos and video guides. The app is built on Overwolf, Windows-only. Its real strengths: an in-game overlay, post-game analysis, the GPI skill profile and expert tier lists. Limitation: the most detailed official description of how picks are chosen is a 2019 guide (pocket picks, recent performance, meta popularity), and builds are aggregated per champion and role rather than tuned to the full draft. Best for: a free all-round companion with strong post-game feedback.

Blitz

Blitz is a standalone desktop app (no Overwolf); its download page offers Windows only. Its "Suggested Picks & Bans" feature promises suggestions "on power picks, synergies, counters, and more". Limitation: Blitz publishes no further methodology and no win estimate, and the one hands-on review we found, written by competitor iTero, reported that the suggestions were all S- or A-tier champions from Blitz's own tier list. Where Blitz shines: automatic rune, spell, item and skill-order import on lock-in, many overlays (objective timers, teammate ultimate timers, jungle pathing, augment overlays), loading-screen scouting and post-match analysis. Free with ads; Premium is from $4.99/month or $3.33/month billed annually and adds an ad-free experience plus Masters+ and one-trick builds. Best for: one install that handles imports and overlays without Overwolf.

Porofessor

Porofessor comes from the team behind League of Graphs, and its core is player scouting: rank history, champion win rate, main roles, recent matches and behavioural tags for everyone in your game. In champion select it adds a meta overview, counter picks, ban suggestions and rune import. It runs on Windows via Overwolf or standalone (since December 2025), updated October 28, 2026; we found no official Mac version. Free with ads; Premium removes them, with no price published on its official pages. Limitation: under Riot's rules, apps can't show player names or stats during Ranked Solo/Duo champion select, so full scouting arrives at the loading screen; there is also no published methodology for its pick suggestions. Best for: knowing who you're playing with and against.

OP.GG, U.GG and Facecheck

OP.GG Desktop lists champion analysis, recommended builds, matchups and tiers on its features page; its marketing copy, which we only saw in search results, also mentions pick-and-ban recommendations. It is free on Windows (v3.2.0, October 28, 2026) and is one of the few with a macOS build, although OP.GG says overlays and some features may not be available on Mac. The U.GG app is standalone, with champ-select scouting, picks, counters, synergies and auto-imported loadouts; Plus is about $3.99/month according to competitor Hexgate (we couldn't load U.GG's pricing page or confirm Mac support). Facecheck is an Overwolf app with pick and ban recommendations from your team, enemy counters and the meta, lobby scouting tags and build import; free with ads, Premium price not listed. None of the three shows a win estimate for the draft.

Counter and matchup stat sites

If your question is "who beats this champion in lane?", a stats site answers it directly, for free, in any browser. LoLalytics has the most granular counter pages we found: win rate against each opponent, two delta columns that adjust for the champions' baseline win rates, game counts, and lane and rank filters (Emerald+ by default). Its limitation is that it covers one matchup at a time, and combining them is up to you. METAsrc's Counter Picker may go a step further: its page description in search results says it ranks champions from the current bans, ally picks and enemy picks using win rates, counters and synergy. The page blocked our checks, so we couldn't confirm this or test it. Mobalytics and Blitz also publish free counter pages, which the example below uses.

Counter lists vs a full-draft model: one example

A real draft from the LoLDraftAI tutorial (Emerald, captured October 31, 2026). Blue has Darius top and Jarvan IV jungle; Red has Renekton, Lee Sin and Ahri mid already locked. Blue picks mid next.

Mobalytics' public Ahri counters page (Emerald+, 157,319 matches) ranks champions by their win rate against Ahri: Lux 51.8%, Aurora 51.7%, Katarina 51.4%, Annie 51.0%, Vel'Koz 50.8%, Twisted Fate 50.6%, then Akshan, Vladimir, Zed and Yasuo around 50.3–50.5%. Blitz's Ahri mid counters page, sorted by game win rate, starts with Katarina at 52%, then Vel'Koz, Lux, Aurora and Zed at 51%.

Mobalytics Ahri Mid Counters page, Emerald+, patch 16.21: best picks against Ahri listed by win rate, Lux 51.8%, Aurora 51.7%, Katarina 51.4%, Annie 51.0%, Vel'Koz 50.8%, Twisted Fate 50.6%, with an overall average of 48.5%.

Mobalytics' public counters page for Ahri, captured October 2026.

LoLDraftAI's suggestions for Blue mid, with the "Meta Champions" filter on (popular mid champions only): Twisted Fate 54.9%, Katarina 54.3%, Ekko 53.9%, Sylas 52.8%, Viktor 52.4%, and so on down to Lucian at 43.9%. These are predicted win rates for Blue's whole team with that champion in mid, given the five champions already known.

LoLDraftAI champion suggestions for Blue midlane: Ahri greyed out as taken, then Twisted Fate 54.9% ±1.8%, Katarina 54.3%, Ekko 53.9%, Sylas 52.8%, Viktor 52.4%, Yasuo 52.2%, Orianna 51.5%, Zed 51.2%, Akali 49.2%, Lucian 43.9%, each with Hover and Lock in buttons.

The lists overlap (Katarina, Twisted Fate, Zed and Yasuo appear in both) but rank differently, because they answer different questions. A counter list answers "who beats Ahri in lane, on average": it is the same whatever the other eight champions are, and its top entries sit within about two points. A full-draft model answers "which mid gives this Blue team the best chance against this Red team", weighing the whole composition, and its spread is wider (54.9% down to 43.9%). Neither list is wrong. Note that the companion apps' own champ-select suggestions live in their desktop apps (and Mobalytics' are personalized to your account); these public pages show their data, not their recommender.

Draft practice and scrim simulators

For practising with a team, Clash or scrims, you want a shared pick/ban lobby rather than a recommender.

  • drafter.lol: free; Fearless, Ironman and First Selection modes, one link for a 1–5 game series, an OBS overlay and an API.
  • uDrafter: free and unlimited; Fearless, series, corrections, observers, and a solo mode with draft analysis (sign-in required).
  • Draftlol: the long-standing scrim lobby; it didn't load when we checked on October 31, 2026, possibly a temporary outage.
  • ProComps: an Overwolf draft assistant with mock drafts and top-5 pick/ban suggestions that integrates with Draftlol and ProDraft lobbies. Free with ads.
  • WeDraft: Overwolf team prep: Fearless simulations, opponent scouting, shared scenarios.

Pro play, briefly

draftlol.ai (not the scrim lobby above) is a pro-play draft simulator whose win probability combines champion and matchup stats with team signals such as recent form, head-to-head record and team Elo; note that the site says it is a Polymarket affiliate. gol.gg covers competitive stats. LoLDraftAI's Plus tier adds a model fine-tuned on pro matches, which judges the draft only, not the teams playing it.

How to choose

Start from the question you actually have; the "Best for" column in the table at the top is the short answer for each tool. Want a win probability for the full draft and the best pick for the whole comp? That is what a full-draft model like LoLDraftAI or DraftGap does. Want overlays, imports or scouting? Pick a companion app. Studying one lane matchup? Use a stats site, or LoLDraftAI's free champion pages for counters, synergies and blind-pick safety. Practising as a team? Use a pick/ban lobby. Combining tools is normal: a draft model to choose the pick, a companion app for overlays and scouting, a stats site to study one matchup.

FAQ

Are draft tools allowed by Riot?

Generally yes, within limits. In February 2025, Riot's League product lead told PCGamesN that using Blitz in League won't be penalized, while adding that Riot doesn't want apps pulling in gameplay information that gives a competitive advantage. The limits: since 2022, Riot has required that apps not show player names or stats in champion select (Overwolf's current compliance guide still applies this to Ranked Solo/Duo). From October 6, 2026, Riot blocks game memory access by default for unknown third-party apps; approved tools have a grace period until April 2027 to switch to official APIs, and Riot doesn't promise that any specific app will keep working. Riot's article names no apps or champion select. Champion-select features usually read the League client's API rather than game memory, so the change mainly concerns in-game features, but check each tool's compliance statement.

Do draft tools actually increase win rate?

A little. LoLDraftAI predicts outcomes with 56.7% accuracy from the draft alone, and the largest realistic draft edge is roughly 60/40. In our suggestion lift study, taking the top suggestion as last pick raised the picking team's predicted win rate by +4% to +7% on average. That is the model's own prediction, not a measured real-game win rate. Mobalytics has published a 2018 study showing its users climbed more often than non-users, but that compares people who chose to install the app with people who didn't, so it can't isolate the tool's effect.

What's the best free draft tool?

For a free full-draft win estimate, DraftGap, on web, Windows and Mac. LoLTheory's champion select features are free without limits, and LoLDraftAI's web tool is free, with no sign-up, for about 50 champions. The companion apps all have free tiers with ads.

What's the difference between a counter pick tool and a draft tool?

A counter pick tool ranks champions against one opponent, averaged over all games. A full-draft tool evaluates your whole team against the enemy team, so the same champion can rank high in one draft and low in another (see the Ahri example above).

Is there a LoL draft tool for Mac?

Yes. DraftGap has a macOS app for Apple Silicon, and OP.GG has a Mac build with fewer features. Web tools work in any browser, including the LoLDraftAI web tool, DraftGap's site, LOL Brain and LoLalytics. The Mobalytics app, Blitz's current download and LoLDraftAI's desktop app are Windows-only.
